What to know about managing promotion winners in Revup.
Choose the prize, how many winners and alternates you need, and optionally a date range for eligible entries. Every entry a participant earned is another slot in the draw, so someone with 10 entries has ten times the chances of someone with one. A single draw can select up to 200 winners, each with up to 25 ranked alternates behind them.
Revup draws using drand, a public randomness beacon run by the League of Entropy. Each draw uses the first value published after the draw is requested, so nobody, including Revup, can know or influence the result ahead of time. The draw record keeps the source, the round number, and the winning entry, and links to the public record so anyone can check it. If the beacon is unavailable, Revup uses a secure local random source and records that on the draw rather than hiding it.
No. Revup provides participant information, fraud flags, statuses, and tools to disqualify, reinstate, promote an alternate, reassign a prize, or draw a replacement. Your organization applies its official rules and makes the final eligibility decision.
If the claim deadline passes, the winner is automatically marked No Response. You can also disqualify a winner at any point. From there, promote the next alternate to winner or draw a replacement for the same prize. The original winner and the reason for the change stay on the record, and extending the deadline can bring them back.
Mailing address, contact details, date of birth, prize preferences, custom questions, and file uploads up to 10 MB such as a photo ID. Forms use your branding and can be translated. Each winner gets their own link, and everything they submit stays attached to their record and can be exported.
Yes. You can require them for every winner, never, or automatically for United States winners of prizes worth $2,000 or more. Revup generates the IRS Form W-9 and an affidavit of eligibility and release from what the winner submits, collects a photo ID and a signature, and stores the files privately. Revup does not file anything with the IRS for you.
Yes. Send or resend a winner's claim email, and each resend issues a fresh link. Every send and its outcome stays on the winner record, and you can extend the claim deadline by up to 30 days.
