Preparing your notice

Your notice should give us enough information to understand the claim, find the content, and follow up with you.

Help us identify the request

• Tell us who is making the report. Provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address, and explain whether you are the copyright owner or are acting for the owner.
• Point us to the content on Revup. Include the direct URL or other specific details that will let us find each item you want reviewed.
• Describe the original work. Identify the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed. If the report covers several works appearing in one place, you may provide a representative list.

Confirm the notice

• Explain your good-faith basis. State that you believe the reported use was not authorized by the copyright owner, the owner's agent, or the law.
• Certify your authority and the notice's accuracy. State, under penalty of perjury, that the information you submitted is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
• Sign the notice. Add the physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or the person authorized to act for the owner.
