## Overview

Revup Quizzes is a promotion type for interactive quizzes that end in a personalized result. It uses the shared promotion builder, themes, languages, previews, and embeds, lets RevAssist draft a complete quiz from a short brief, resolves results with deterministic rules instead of a live AI call, can recommend products from a connected catalog, and attaches identified results to the unified customer profile.

## Core capabilities

- Product recommendation, assessment, routine builder, style finder, eligibility, lead segmentation, knowledge check, diagnostic, and personality quizzes built from editable starter recipes
- Four result mechanisms: weighted outcome matching, category scores, correct/incorrect grading with a pass threshold, and catalog recommendation rules with hard exclusions
- RevAssist drafts questions, answer options, Logic items, results, weights, and result copy from a brief, and refines the draft in plain language before anything is published
- Branded result pages with explanations, recommended products, calls to action, optional lead capture, and results attached to the unified customer profile and connected integrations

## Product details

### Quiz types and result mechanisms

Every quiz uses one or more of four mechanisms. Weighted outcome matching adds points toward named results, with a tie rule you choose. Category scores total answers into separate dimensions, such as hydration and sensitivity, for assessments and segmentation. Graded answers mark responses correct or incorrect and apply a pass threshold for knowledge checks. Catalog recommendation rules match products to answers, apply hard exclusions such as budget or ingredients, and fill ordered routine slots. Diagnostic and eligibility quizzes use criteria the merchant supplies; Revup does not invent medical, financial, or legal determinations.

### Drafting with RevAssist

Describe the quiz in a sentence, for example a skincare quiz that finds a skin profile and recommends a three-step routine under $100. RevAssist asks only the questions it needs, then drafts concise questions and answer options, standalone Logic items, result definitions, weights and exclusions, explanatory result copy, lead-capture placement, and a call to action. You can edit every generated decision or ask for changes such as making it shorter or adding a sensitive-skin path. RevAssist never fabricates products: if catalog data is unavailable, results carry clearly marked unmapped placeholders. Nothing is published automatically.

### Questions, Logic, and paging

Questions are ordinary Revup form fields, so text, choice, picture choice, rating, and contact questions all work. New quizzes default to one question per page, using the builder's existing page breaks, and you can switch to a custom layout at any time. Branching uses standalone Logic items that show, hide, or require questions based on earlier answers. Logic items collect no answers and never count toward a score. Before launch, the builder flags broken references, dead ends, unreachable results, and unmapped products, and lets you test representative paths.

### Results and recommendations

Each result has its own title, explanation, image, and call to action. Recommendation results can show a single product, a bundle, or an ordered routine such as cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer, with optional steps and out-of-stock fallbacks. Results are calculated from the answers the server accepted, using deterministic rules with no per-answer AI or network call, and the accepted result is stored with the response so reporting never changes after the fact.

### Lead capture, profiles, and integrations

Add an email or phone question before or after the result, with the same consent controls as any Revup promotion. Identified results join the unified customer profile next to entries, survey answers, and purchases, and the result, category scores, and recommended products can be mapped to profile attributes and sent to connected integrations for segmentation and follow-up.

### Reporting

Quiz reporting follows each person through start, questions, lead capture, result, and recommendation clicks. Question reporting separates people who were never shown a question because of Logic from people who saw it and skipped it or left, so drop-off is not overstated. Outcome reporting shows how often each result and each recommended product was displayed, and purchase reporting keeps orders that include a recommended product separate from other orders placed after a result.

### Publishing and security

Publish a quiz as an inline widget, a popup, or a hosted landing page on a Revup URL with a custom slug, and share it through QR codes and tracking links. Language variants, themes, CAPTCHA, fraud controls, IP rules, and passcodes work as they do on every Revup promotion.

## Common use cases

### Product recommendation

Match shoppers to the product or bundle that fits their needs, budget, and preferences, using real items from a connected catalog.

### Skin, hair, or body assessment

Score answers across categories to produce a profile, explain it, and recommend an ordered routine.

### Style and preference finder

Resolve answers into a style profile and a curated collection, then save the style to the customer profile.

### Lead qualification

Score prospects into buckets such as ready for sales, nurture, or not a fit, and send the bucket to your CRM.

### Knowledge check

Grade answers, apply a pass threshold, and show explanations for each question at the end.

## Common questions

### What kinds of quizzes can I build with Revup?

Product recommendation, skin or hair assessments, routine builders, style finders, eligibility checks, lead segmentation, knowledge checks, troubleshooting diagnostics, and personality quizzes. Each starts from an editable template and decides results by matching answers to outcomes, scoring categories, grading answers, or recommending products from your catalog.

### Does RevAssist build the quiz for me?

RevAssist drafts a complete quiz from a short description, including the questions, answer options, branching, results, scoring, and where to ask for an email. You can edit anything yourself or ask RevAssist to change it, and nothing is published until you publish it.

### Can a quiz recommend products from my store?

Yes. Recommendation rules match answers to products in your connected catalog, apply hard exclusions such as budget or ingredients, and can assemble ordered routines. RevAssist never invents products; if it can't find a match, it flags the spot for you to fill.

### Is AI used to decide each person's result?

No. AI helps you draft the quiz, but results come from rules you can read and edit. The same answers always produce the same result, and there is no live AI call while someone takes the quiz.

### Do quizzes support branching?

Yes. You can show, hide, or require questions based on earlier answers. Revup flags dead ends and results no one can reach, so you can test every path before launch.

### Where do quiz results go?

When someone shares an email or phone, their result joins their customer profile alongside their entries, survey answers, and purchases. You can also send results, scores, and recommended products to your connected email, SMS, and CRM tools.

### How do I measure whether a quiz is working?

Reporting shows starts, completions, leads, result views, and product clicks, plus how often each result and product was shown. Questions someone never saw because of an earlier answer don't count as drop-off, and sales of recommended products are reported separately from other orders.
