- Promotion-event triggers rather than list-subscription events
- Prebuilt flow templates and reusable flows attachable to many promotions

- Live preview, proof sends, per-step analytics, and outbound webhooks

## Product details

### Promotion events, not list events

Generic email tools fire on list events such as subscribed, opened, and clicked. Revup Flows fires on promotion events: someone entered, someone was selected as a winner, someone cast a vote, a contest submission was approved, a referral completed, or a payment cleared. Triggers and conditions are built around the promotion itself, so no external automation service or custom webhook stitching sits in the middle.

### Visual flow canvas

Flows are assembled on a zoomable canvas from trigger, delay, condition, email, and SMS steps. Changes save automatically, and validation alerts surface setup issues before a flow is launched.

### Prebuilt flow templates

Flows can start from prebuilt templates for common promotion moments: entry confirmations, abandoned form recovery, referral nudges, winner notifications, claim reminders, vote thank-yous, and contest moderation updates.

### Conditional logic scoped to the promotion

Yes/No conditions branch a flow on referral count, winner status, payment status, total entries, or moderation decisions. Wait steps pause for a duration, until a specific date, or until an event occurs.

### Reusable flows with automatic versioning

A flow is built once and attached to every eligible giveaway, contest, or referral that needs it; editing the flow applies the change everywhere it is attached. Each attachment is account-scoped, gated by eligibility, and can be detached without affecting other promotions using the same flow. Edits to an active flow store a version snapshot so participants already in the flow finish on the version they entered, while new participants pick up the updated version. A warning showing the count of in-flight participants appears before any structural change to an active flow.

### Built-in email delivery and sender setup

Email sending is part of the platform and does not require a separate email service provider. Sender setup, unsubscribe handling, bounce and complaint processing, deliverability health monitoring, and quota enforcement are included. Accounts can send from a shared Revup-managed sender or configure an approved custom-domain sender; both route through the same delivery pipeline.

### Branded composition and custom HTML

A standard editor covers subject, preheader, body, and brand colors. A full Custom HTML editor accepts complete HTML documents; Revup sanitizes the markup, detects hidden preheader text, repairs missing compliance footers and unsubscribe placeholders, and surfaces sanitizer warnings before saving. Branding, colors, sender details, and the compliance footer are applied automatically.

### Promotion-aware personalization

Emails personalize on recipient details, promotion names, referral links, login links, and winner prizes.

### Preview and proof sends

Every message step renders a live preview using either a random recent participant or a specific chosen contact. Single-recipient proof sends use the same sender route as the live flow. Test sends do not create live workflow executions and do not write to delivery history or reporting.

### Webhooks and per-step analytics

Any flow can send real-time promotion data to an external endpoint as events occur. Step-level reporting shows how many people are waiting at a step, completed it, hit an error, or dropped off, updated in real time.

## Common use cases

### Entry confirmation and onboarding

Confirm an entry the moment a promotion form is submitted, then follow up with bonus-entry actions or referral prompts on a delay.

### Referral and vote follow-up

Branch on referral count or vote activity to thank participants, nudge those who stalled, and reward those who completed a referral.

### Winner notification and claim chasing

Trigger on winner selection, then send claim reminders on a schedule until the prize claim is recorded.

### Teams keeping an existing marketing platform

Revup flows handle promotion-specific messages while contacts, subscribers, and lists sync to Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or another platform for newsletters and ongoing campaigns.

## Common questions

### How is this different from Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or other email tools?

Generic email tools fire on list events: someone subscribed, someone opened, someone clicked. Revup Flows fires on promotion events: someone entered, someone got picked as a winner, someone cast a vote, a contest submission was approved, a referral was completed, a payment cleared. Every trigger and condition is built around the promotions you are actually running. Keep your existing provider for newsletters and use Flows for promotion follow-ups.

### Can I reuse one flow across multiple promotions?

Yes. Flows are reusable by default. Build one entry-confirmation flow and attach it to every giveaway, contest, and referral that needs one. Edit the flow once and the change applies everywhere it is attached. Each attachment is account-scoped, gated by eligibility, and easy to detach without affecting other promotions that use the same flow.

### What happens to people mid-flow when I edit it?

Flows are versioned automatically. Editing an active flow stores a snapshot, so participants already inside the flow finish on the version they entered, and new participants pick up the updated version on entry. A warning appears before any structural change to an active flow, including a count of in-flight participants.

### Does this support SMS too?

Yes. SMS is its own product surface and uses the same flow canvas. See the Revup SMS Marketing page for SMS triggers, sender registration, and per-message limits.

### Do I need my own email service provider to send through Revup?

No. Revup has email sending built in, including sender setup, unsubscribe handling, bounce and complaint processing, deliverability health monitoring, and quota enforcement. Start on the shared Revup-managed sender, or set up an approved custom-domain sender for your brand. Both flow through the same delivery pipeline.

### Can I write custom HTML emails?

Yes. The standard editor covers subject, preheader, body, and brand colors. A full Custom HTML editor accepts complete HTML documents. Revup sanitizes the markup, detects hidden preheader text, repairs missing compliance footers and unsubscribe placeholders, and surfaces sanitizer warnings before you save.

### Can I test a flow before activating it?

Yes. Every message step has a live preview rendered as either a random recent participant or a specific contact you choose. Single-recipient proof sends go through the same sender route the live flow will use. Test sends do not create live workflow executions and do not write to delivery history.
